Atc Garments

We are located at 62 Theatre Road. It’s a busy street with lots of offices and shops all around us. Our space is filled with fabric rolls and sewing machines that stay busy. There’s always a hum of activity, especially when we have a big order to finish by the end of the month. We do a lot of garment work, from cutting the patterns to the final stitching and checking. It’s not a glamorous fashion studio like you see on TV. It’s a place where people work hard to get clothes made for the market. The floor is usually covered in scraps of thread and cloth by the time evening rolls around. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea several times a day. The light from the windows is good in the morning, which helps with the detailed sewing. Theatre Road can be quite loud with the honking, but we don't notice it much anymore. We have a mix of old and new machines that we use every day. Sometimes one of them breaks down and we have to wait for the repairman to show up. We don't have a corporate hierarchy here. Everyone just knows what they need to do to get the job done. We pack the finished garments into plastic bags and then into big cartons for shipping. It's a lot of standing and moving around for everyone. We’ve been in this building for quite a while now.
