At 7, Ramkrishnapuram, things stay pretty busy from early morning until the sun goes down. Asia Fashion isn't a massive operation, but we make the most of the space we have in this building. The walls are a bit thin, so we can often hear the neighbors talking or the motorbikes zooming past on the street outside. It’s just one of those old-fashioned spots where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We’ve got rolls of material and different samples scattered around, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what we’re looking for. The lighting inside is a bit dim in the corners, but we’ve added a few extra lamps so we can see what we are doing. Ramkrishnapuram is a good area, even if parking is a total nightmare most days. Most of us just walk or take the bus to get here. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the front office looks to outsiders. It’s more about getting the orders sorted and making sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle. Usually, we have the radio playing softly in the background to keep us company while we work. There’s a small tea stall just around the corner that we visit way too often. It’s a simple life here at number 7, and we are quite used to the way things run. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every single day without any fuss.
