Art Exports

Art Exports is tucked away at 1/M, Chatu Babu Lane. If you aren't looking for it, you might just walk right past us. The lane is one of those narrow ones where you have to move to the side if a cycle-rickshaw comes through. We’ve been here for a while, mostly dealing with sending art pieces to different places. It’s a lot of bubble wrap, tape, and sturdy wooden crates. We spend most of our mornings packing things up. Our office doesn't have much in the way of decoration, just a couple of old calendars and a dusty fan that makes a clicking noise. We aren't really corporate types. Most of us wear comfortable clothes and don't worry too much about looking polished. We have a small radio that we keep on for the news. Sometimes the electricity goes off in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the steps and chat until it comes back. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just do the work as it comes in and try to be honest with everyone we talk to. The work is steady, and the neighborhood is familiar. We know the local shopkeepers and they know us. It’s a simple way to run a business, without any of that modern fluff people seem to like nowadays. We just focus on the boxes and the shipments until the sun goes down and it's time to head home.
