Our place is right in the heart of Kolkata at India Exchange Place. If you know the area, it’s always crowded and noisy. We are on the first floor, in rooms 110 and 111. Apka Fashions Indiaprivate Limited is the name we use for all the paperwork. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes with all the stock we have piled up. We deal with clothes and different fashion items. Being in this part of town means we are close to the markets. It’s convenient but the traffic is a nightmare. Some mornings the tea stall downstairs is the only thing that gets us moving. We aren't trying to be some big corporate giant. We just have these two rooms where we handle orders and talk to suppliers. Sometimes the fan makes a weird noise and we forget to call the repair guy. That’s just life here. We’ve been around for a bit and people know where to find us. It’s a lot of walking up and down the stairs. We keep things simple. No fancy brochures or websites that look like they cost a fortune. Just work. We track everything in our ledgers and try to stay organized. It’s a bit dusty with all the paper and cloth around, but it feels like home for us. We're just trying to make a living in the city like everyone else.
