Aparnaa Sarees

We are located up on the 4th floor of Siddha Point, right on Park Street. Being at No. 101 means we are in one of the busiest parts of the city. The elevator at Siddha Point can be a bit slow during lunch hours, so sometimes we just take the stairs if we aren't carrying too much. Aparnaa Sarees has been in this building for a while now. Even though Park Street is known for being fancy, our shop inside is quite simple and grounded. We have rows of shelves filled with sarees from all over, and we spend a lot of time folding and unfolding them for visitors. The view from the 4th floor isn't much, just the tops of other buildings and the street noise drifting up, but it’s a good space. It’s quieter up here than it is down on the pavement. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know the stock well. Most people find us because they’ve been coming to us for years, or their mothers told them about us. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the glass, but the fans help. We keep a diary of what we need to order and what's running low. It’s just a regular workday for us, making sure the sarees are displayed properly and everyone finds what they need.
