If you go down to 43 Hindusthan Park, you will find us there. It’s a well-known area, so most people don't get lost finding the place. Aparajita Basak Sarees Shop is just a small local business. We have been working with sarees for a long time. The shelves are full of different colors and fabrics. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room for everything we want to show. We spend most of our time unfolding and folding back the pieces. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we know. The light inside the shop is okay, but we often take things near the door to see the colors better in the sun. Hindusthan Park is a nice place to be. It’s usually busy with people walking around, especially in the evenings. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when we are busy, but we try to keep up with the cleaning. We have regular customers who come back every season. We just talk about the fabrics and what’s new. It is a simple life running a shop like this. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in. No big plans, just selling sarees and staying part of the neighborhood. We hope to stay here for a very long time.
