The shop is at 33/2 Beadon Street. It’s one of those older parts of the city where the buildings have a lot of character, but also some cracks in the plaster. Anwesha'S has been here for a while now. I open up the big doors in the morning and let the air in, though Beadon Street can be quite loud with the buses and people shouting. Inside, there are piles of things everywhere because I never seem to have enough shelf space. I try to organize the clothes by color or size, but it usually ends up getting mixed up after a few hours of work. There is a specific smell to the place, a mix of old wood and new fabric. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on the corner of the desk, getting cold because I got distracted by something. People come in looking for something specific, and sometimes I have to dig through the back room to find it. It's not a polished showroom; it's a working shop where we handle everything ourselves. The floor is old tile that clicks when you walk on it. I spend a lot of time just folding and refolding things that have been moved. Sometimes I sit by the window and watch the people go by on the street while I wait for a customer to walk in. It's a simple life here on Beadon Street, just keeping the shop going day by day.
