Anamika

Anamika is located over on Baburam Ghosh Road, right in the heart of the 700002 area of Kolkata. The address is 27E/20, and it’s a place we’ve called home for quite some time. It’s an old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and can get pretty crowded during the middle of the day. We’ve had to learn how to manage in a small space, but we make it work somehow. There isn't any big sign out front or a lobby with a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find a couple of us sitting at our desks working through whatever the day brings. We handle a variety of things here, mostly focusing on getting the small details right for everyone who walks through the door. It’s not always glamorous work, and sometimes we stay late to finish things up, but that’s part of the job. We don’t really use a lot of technical jargon or try to sound like we’re bigger than we are. We are just a local business trying to stay helpful to the community around us. People in the neighborhood know us by name, which is nice. Sometimes someone will stop by just to say hello while they’re out doing their shopping. We like the personal touch of being a small shop. It keeps things grounded and honest. That’s how we’ve always done it here and we plan to stay that way for as long as we can.
