Ahran Fashions & Bags International

Ahran Fashions & Bags International is based on the third floor at 27/1A, Shamual Huda Road. It takes some effort to get up the stairs, but we like being a bit higher up. From up here, the street noise isn't as loud as it is on the ground. We do a lot of work with fabrics and bag materials. Most days, the place is covered in scraps of cloth and thread. It’s a workshop more than an office. We have several sewing machines going and it gets quite noisy when everyone is working at once. We aren't a big factory; we’re just a local outfit making things as they come. The space is a bit tight with all the rolls of cloth everywhere. We don't have a fancy display area. If you want to see what we’re making, you just have to look at the tables where we are working. We get a lot of sun in the mornings which helps with the stitching. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit for it to come back, but that’s just part of being in this area. Our workshop has been on Shamual Huda Road for as long as I can remember and we know the other shop owners nearby. It’s a busy neighborhood and there’s always something happening outside. We just stick to our bags and keep the machines running as well as we can.
