A. & S. Co. is over at 231 Maharshi Debendra Road. Posta is one of those places where you never really find a moment of silence during the day. It’s right near Strand Road, so there are always heavy carts and laborers moving things around in every direction. The building we are in is an old one, like most of the ones in this part of town. We’ve got our small space where A. & S. Co. operates from. It’s crowded with files and papers and whatever else we need for the day's tasks. You have to navigate through some narrow lanes sometimes just to get to the front door. We spend a lot of time just talking to people who walk in or handling the logistics of being in such a busy trading hub. Posta is the kind of place that stays in your clothes—the dust and the smell of the old city. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of work to get through. Sometimes the power goes out or the traffic blocks the street for hours, but you just learn to deal with it. It’s been our home for a long time. People know that 231 is where we are, right in the middle of all that chaos. We just keep doing what we do, day after day, without making a big deal out of it. It’s just life on Maharshi Debendra Road.
