Thrikkannapuram Lp School

We've been here on Pookodcheruvanchery Road for a long time now. People in Kannur know this spot well. It's just a small LP school where children from around the neighborhood come every morning. Most of the kids walk here, and you can see them with their umbrellas when the monsoon starts. The classrooms are simple. We don't have fancy stuff, but there are desks, blackboards, and enough space for the little ones to sit and learn their lessons. Most of our teachers live nearby too, so they know the families quite well. It’s a quiet place usually, except for during the lunch break when everyone is out playing in the yard. Sometimes the goats from the nearby houses wander onto the grounds, and we have to shoo them away. We spend the day teaching basic reading and writing. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we need. Parents stop by at the gate to drop off tiffins or just to chat for a minute before heading to work. It’s part of the daily routine here in this part of Kannur. We keep the registers updated and make sure the midday meals are ready on time. Nothing too complicated goes on, just school life as it has always been for years. It's a bit noisy when the bell rings at the end of the day, but then it gets very still until the next morning comes around.
