Athazhakkunnu Mlp School

If you walk down the Juma Masjid Road in Athazhakunnu, you’ll find our little school right there in the Kunnumkai area. It’s a local spot in Puzhathi, and most of the families living around here know us well. We’ve been part of this Kannur neighborhood for a long time. The school isn’t very big, but it’s usually full of noise once the kids arrive in the morning. They come running in from the nearby houses, some with their parents and some walking with their friends. We have basic classrooms where the younger children learn their first lessons. It’s nothing like those big city schools with huge gates and security guards; it’s more of a community place. You can hear the sounds from the road and the mosque while the classes are going on. We spend our days teaching the basics, like reading and writing, and trying to keep the kids focused. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic, especially during the lunch break when everyone wants to be outside at once. The teachers are mostly local people who know the students' parents. We don’t have much in the way of fancy equipment, but we make do with what we have. It’s a steady routine of lessons, songs, and games. Most people just call us the MLP school near the masjid. It’s a familiar part of the daily life here for anyone living in this corner of Kannur. We are just here doing our job for the local kids.
