Thallode L P School

The school is right here on the Kannur Road, near the Kottayattangadi and Kottayampoyil intersection. We spend most of our days keeping up with the younger kids who come in from all over Purakkalam. It isn’t a massive place, but the rooms stay busy from the first bell until the afternoon when everyone heads home. You’ll see the parents waiting outside near the road when classes finish. We have been part of this Thalassery neighborhood for quite a while now. The building has seen many rainy seasons, and we do our best to keep things tidy for the students. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, especially with the buses passing by on the main road, but once you’re inside the gates, it’s mostly just the sound of lessons going on. Most of us working here live nearby, so we know most of the families by name. It’s just a regular local school where children learn their basics. There isn’t anything fancy about the way we do things, just the usual reading, writing, and playing during the breaks. The classrooms are simple, and we try to make sure every child gets enough attention while they are with us. Life moves pretty steadily here in this part of Kannur, and the school is just one of those familiar spots people pass every day on their way to work or the market.
