Mavilayi Central Lp School is located in Kavumthara, which is a small area in Mavilayi. We are right on the Chovva Mambaram Road, Mavilayi, Kannur - 670622. It is a very local spot, tucked away from the main city buzz. The school serves the children from Mavilayi and the surrounding small pockets like Kavumthara. It is a lower primary school, which means the atmosphere is always lively with kids running about. The building is a basic one, nothing too special to look at, but it’s been here a long time and everyone in the village knows it. We have a few trees around the yard that provide some shade when the kids are outside. On the Chovva Mambaram Road, you see a lot of people going back and forth, and the school is just one of those familiar landmarks people pass every day. The staff here are mostly local people who understand the life here in Kannur. We don't have big budgets for advertisements or fancy things. We just open the gates every morning, teach the children, and close up in the afternoon. It’s a practical place. The classrooms are simple with wooden benches and blackboards. We just want the kids to have a safe place to be while their parents are at work. It feels like a big family sometimes because everyone knows each other's business in a small place like this. It's just how we operate day to day.
