Heritage Khorikaa Authentic Assamese Restaurants

You can find Heritage Khorikaa on the second floor of Krishna Tower. We are right on G.S Road in Guwahati, which is basically the main artery of the city. Being near the Income Tax Office means we get a lot of office workers coming in for lunch. We specialize in Assamese food, the kind of stuff we eat at home. It’s not a huge place, but we have enough space for families. Khorikaa means we do a lot of smoked and grilled items. We don't use a lot of heavy spices, just the traditional ways we grew up with. The building, Krishna Tower, is easy to spot from the main road. 781005 is a busy pin code. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, but we are only on the second floor so it's not too bad to walk up. The kitchen stays busy from morning till night. We have local herbs and ingredients coming in every day. It’s not a quiet restaurant because G.S Road is always buzzing, but inside we try to keep it comfortable. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just a local restaurant run by people who grew up eating this food. People come for the duck or the fish. We just serve what we know. It feels like a regular Guwahati afternoon here every single day.
