Sun Plaza Restaurant

If you are driving toward the Somnath Bypass Corner, you will see us at the Sun Plaza Restaurant. We are part of the Sun Plaza Hotel in Prabhas Patan. This area gets a lot of visitors because of the temple nearby. We see people from all over the country coming through Veraval. It is a dusty spot sometimes with all the construction and the bypass traffic. We spend a lot of time sweeping the front steps to keep the sand out. The restaurant itself is pretty straightforward. We have enough tables for families and the fans keep the air moving. We don't have any of that fancy lighting you see in big cities. Our staff speaks a few languages just enough to take orders from everyone. We cook what people like to eat when they are traveling. It’s mostly hearty stuff that keeps you going. Sometimes the kitchen is a bit slow when we are full, but we try our best. We’ve been at this corner for a good while now. We know the local shopkeepers and the guys who drive the taxis. It’s a community feeling here even with all the tourists passing through. We just provide a place to sit and eat before you head back out on the road. The bypass is always humming with trucks and buses, which makes our corner feel like the center of everything for a minute. We keep some cold water ready for anyone who looks thirsty.
