Gir Jungle Lodge

We are located right on Sasan-Junagadh Road. If you are coming this way, you will see us directly opposite the petrol pump. It is a pretty straightforward spot. We have been running Gir Jungle Lodge for a good number of years now. Most people who stop by are here to see the forest or maybe they are just passing through to the next town. It gets quite dusty out here on the main road, but that is just how it is in this part of Gujarat. We do not have any big fancy signs or anything like that. The building is simple and we try to keep things clean and functional for whoever stays with us. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we handle it with the generator. It is mostly quiet at night, except for the sounds from the woods nearby and the occasional truck passing. We have local guys working here who know the area well. If you need to fill up your car, the pump is right there, which is handy for early morning trips. We are not a big chain or anything, just a local lodge trying to do things right. It is a family thing mostly. We stay busy during the safari season when the tourists come in. The rest of the year it is a bit slower. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next guest to roll in from the road. Our rooms are just basic rooms, nothing too crazy, but they work for a night or two.
