Vaishnav Restaurants

Our place is in the Ratanada area of Jodhpur, right at Bhaskar Chouraha. We are situated opposite the Khadi Bhandar, which is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Vaishnav Restaurants has been a part of this neighborhood for some time. Jodhpur is a hot city, and the sun really beats down on the crossroads outside our door. We see a lot of people stopping by while they are out running errands or going to work. The shop is simple, with just enough room for people to sit down and eat without too much fuss. We do not have any air conditioning, just some ceiling fans that spin all day long. The noise from the traffic at the chouraha is something we have just gotten used to over the years. We spend our time in the back getting the food ready and making sure everything is clean. Most of the people who eat here are locals who live nearby or work in the shops in Ratanada. We do not have a big menu with lots of options, just the things we know how to make well. It is a plain and simple life running a restaurant in Jodhpur. We do not try to be anything we are not. We just keep the doors open and the food ready for whoever comes through the Bhaskar Chouraha.
