You can find us at Sangaria Circle on the Jaisalmer Road in Jodhpur. This part of town is always moving because of the highway traffic. We get a lot of travelers and truck drivers heading out towards the desert area. The restaurant is quite plain and simple. We have some outdoor seating because it gets nice and breezy in the evenings once the sun goes down. Jodhpur can be very hot during the day. We have a big open parking space in front for trucks and cars to park easily. I started this place because there weren't many spots to get a full meal on this side of the circle. We serve basic Rajasthani food. It’s quite spicy because that’s how the local people here like it. We don’t have a printed menu card. We just tell you what we have cooked in the pots today. Usually, it’s gatte ki sabzi or some ker sangri. The kitchen area is open so you can see us working and cooking. We use a lot of local spices we buy from the market. Sometimes the dust from the road comes in when it's windy, so we are always cleaning the tables. It’s a family-run thing. My sons help with the billing and serving the customers. We don't have a computer or anything fancy. We just write the bills by hand in a notebook. It’s old-fashioned but it works for us.
