Cafe Frespresso

Our place is on Fourth B Road in the Sardarpura area of Jodhpur. We are right across from Launge and Suhag Jewellers, so we see a lot of people out shopping for weddings or looking at gold. Jodhpur gets incredibly hot in the summer, and the sun really beats down on this street. We spend a lot of time making sure the fans are pointed in the right direction to keep the air moving. The cafe isn't very large, and the layout is a bit awkward for moving around, but we make it work. We have some spots on the wall where the paint is peeling a bit from the heat, and we just put a poster over it or just leave it be. It’s a real place, not some polished corporate showroom. We don't have a mission statement or any of those things. We just come in, get the machines started, and wait for the first customer to walk in. Sometimes the music is too loud or the front door squeaks when it opens, and we just fix it when we get a spare minute during the day. My staff and I are just local people earning a living. We see a lot of tired shoppers who just want to sit down for twenty minutes and get away from the noise of Sardarpura. We don't promise anything crazy, just a seat and a drink.
