Al-Nabi Tasty House

If you're walking down Chopasni Road in Jodhpur, you'll see us right near the Chirghar Maszid Circle. We are pretty close to the Shimla Hotel, so most people use that as a landmark to find us. It’s a loud area with bikes and cars constantly going around the circle. Al-Nabi Tasty House is basically a spot where we focus on getting the food out to whoever is hungry. The kitchen is always warm, and you can smell whatever is cooking from the street. We have a few benches and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we need. It gets really bright in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the shop. We spend our time prepping ingredients and making sure the utensils are clean. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. It’s not a place for a long, fancy dinner; it’s more for people who are on their way somewhere and need a quick bite. You see all sorts of people here, from students to workers from the nearby markets. We just stay busy with the orders and try to keep the tables clear. Jodhpur can get very hot, so we appreciate the breeze when it actually comes through the door. It is a simple life here, just keeping the stove going and making sure there is enough food for everyone who stops by.
