The Terrace Restaurant

Our restaurant, The Terrace Restaurant, is part of the Leela Villas Guest House. We are located at B-36 on Umaid Bhawan Palace Road, right on Circuit House Road in Jodhpur. If you are looking for us, we are right behind Maharani Textiles. It is a family-run kind of place, so we don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. We just live and work here. The restaurant is on the terrace, so you can see the sky and some of the nearby buildings. Jodhpur can be very hot, so we mostly have people coming in during the evening when it is a bit more comfortable. We have a small kitchen where we cook local dishes. We don't have a huge staff. Usually, it’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We do everything from taking the orders to cleaning the floors at night. Sometimes the wind from the desert blows dust onto the tables, so we have to wipe them down constantly. It’s a bit of a struggle, but we manage. We’ve been here for several years and we know the neighborhood well. The palace road is usually busy with tourists, but our spot is a bit more tucked away. We don’t have any fancy signs. We just do our best to provide a decent meal to whoever stops by our guest house. It is a simple place to sit and we are here almost every single day of the year.
