Shree Salasar Bhojnalaya And Restaurant

Our restaurant is situated on Bhakri Road in the Kakani area of Jodhpur. We are quite close to the Md Saifi & Sons petrol pump, which is a good landmark for people driving through. The landscape out here is wide and open, and the sun can be really intense during the day. We built this place to be a stop for anyone traveling those long stretches of road. It’s a simple bhojnalaya, so we don't put on any airs about what we are. The tables are covered in plain cloths and we have big water jugs for everyone. Most of our customers are truck drivers or families on a road trip who need a break from the heat. The kitchen is always going, with the smell of woodsmoke and spices drifting out toward the parking area. We don't have a fancy website or a social media page. We just have a sign on the road and a door that stays open. Sometimes the wind kicks up a lot of dust from the surrounding fields, so we are constantly wiping down the counters. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. We like the quiet moments in the late afternoon before the evening rush starts.
