S. K. Arts

S. K. Arts is located out in Vishwakarma Shilp Gram. The specific spot is Khasra No. 147/2 in Sangariya. It’s a bit of a trek depending on where you are coming from, but we like it here. There’s a lot of other stuff going on in the Shilp Gram area, mostly people making things by hand. Our space is pretty straightforward. We have our benches and our materials laid out where we can reach them. It isn’t a showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a place where we actually get the work done. You’ll usually hear a lot of noise if you walk by during the afternoon. Sangariya is a decent place for this kind of setup because we have the room we need. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork if we can help it. Most of the day is spent handling the pieces and making sure everything looks right before it leaves the shop. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit dusty, but we just clean up and keep going. People who know the area usually don't have trouble finding Khasra No. 147/2. We’ve been at this for a bit now. It’s just what we do every day. We don't make a big fuss about it. Just regular work from a regular shop in the village. Sometimes we stay late when there is a lot to finish, but we don't mind the extra hours when the sun starts to set.
