Mishri Art Export

Down in Basni, Street No. 7, you will find Mishri Art Export. We are at F-259 in the Iind Phase. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of manufacturing going on. Our space is usually filled with the smell of wood and polish. We have crates stacked up high, waiting to be sent out. Most of the day is spent checking the finishes on the pieces or wrapping things in bubble wrap. It gets really hot in the warehouse, especially in the afternoon. We have a couple of large fans, but they just move the warm air around. There are workers busy with carving or sanding in the back. Street No. 7 is pretty narrow, so when a truck comes to load up, everything else has to stop. We keep a small kitchen area for making tea and coffee, which helps us get through the long afternoons. It’s a lot of detail work, and sometimes things don't go perfectly on the first try. We just fix it and keep moving. The floors are covered in sawdust most of the time, no matter how much we sweep. It’s an honest way to spend the day, working with our hands and seeing the items go from raw materials to finished pieces ready for the export containers. We don't have a showroom, just the workshop where we make things.
