Kora Antiques

We are located at 10, Sallon House. It’s on Umaid Club Road in the Rai Ka Bagh area. Kora Antiques isn't a very big shop, but we have a lot of things crammed into the space. We’ve got old chests, some metal work, and bits of old doors. Most of it comes from old houses around Jodhpur that were being torn down or renovated. We don't really fix things up too much because people like them looking old. The shop gets a bit cramped when we bring in new items. We have to shuffle everything around just to walk through the aisle. It's a quiet area compared to the main markets. We like it that way. Usually, it's just one or two of us here during the day. We spend time cleaning off the worst of the grime from the pieces we find. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon and makes it quite warm. We have some old chairs outside where we sit sometimes. We don't really have a plan for what we buy; we just pick what looks interesting to us. It’s a hobby that turned into a business over many years. There are always stories behind the things we have, though we don't always know them ourselves. We just enjoy the history of it all. It stays interesting.
