Johari Handicrafts (P) Ltd.

We are up on the second floor of City Plaza in Shastri Nagar. It’s a busy building. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of exercise every day because the lift is sometimes slow or just not working. Johari Handicrafts (P) Ltd. is the full name, but most people just call us Johari. Shastri Nagar is a central area, so there’s always something going on outside. From our windows, we can see the street below and all the shops. We handle handicrafts, mostly the administrative side and some small finishing tasks. It’s more of an office and a small storage area than a factory. We have a few desks and some samples on the shelves for people to look at. The walls are a bit plain, and we have boxes stacked in the corners because we run out of space sometimes. It’s a bit cramped when we have a big shipment coming in or going out. We drink a lot of tea and talk to suppliers on the phone all day. It’s a steady kind of work. We aren't looking to grow into some huge corporation; we just want to keep the business running smooth. The staff is small, just a few of us who have known each other for years. It’s a comfortable enough place to spend the day. We don't have any fancy mission statements, we just focus on the orders we have to get through each week and keep moving.
