Jodhpur Dormitory

Jodhpur Dormitory is on the first floor of Building No 1 on Nai Sarak. We are right on the corner where the street turns. It is a very old part of Jodhpur, and the building reflects that. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, so you have to be careful when you are carrying bags up. We don't have private rooms like a big hotel, just beds in a shared space. It is for people who just need a place to sleep and don't want to spend much. The market downstairs is very loud from early morning until late at night. You can hear the vendors selling cloth and sweets. We have some windows that look down onto the street. It is quite a view if you like seeing the city life. We keep the sheets clean and make sure the fans are working. Jodhpur can get incredibly hot in the summer, so those fans are important. Most of our guests are backpackers or people coming to the city for small jobs. We don't have a fancy lobby or a concierge. I usually sit at the small desk near the entrance to check people in. We give them a key and tell them where the water is. It is a very simple arrangement. We have been here for years and the building has stayed the same while everything else changed.
