Our company, James Andrew Newton Art Export Pvt Ltd, is based at 86, Jawahar Colony on Central School Road in Ratanada. It’s a quiet enough street, which is helpful when we are trying to concentrate on packing up fragile items. We deal with exporting various pieces of art, which means we spend a lot of time with bubble wrap and wooden crates. It’s not as glamorous as some people might think. There’s a lot of heavy lifting and sweating involved, especially during the hotter months here in Ratanada. The office is right next to our storage space, so there is always a bit of a mess with packing peanuts and tape lying around. We’ve been at this for a while, and James Andrew Newton is the name we’ve always used, though we’re just a small crew of regular people. We don't have a fancy gallery or a showroom for people to visit. Most of our work is behind the scenes, making sure things get from one place to another without getting damaged. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we don't make a big deal out of it. We just show up, check the shipping schedules, and start packing. The Central School nearby means it gets a bit busy when the kids are getting out, but otherwise, it’s a pretty calm spot for us to do our work. We just keep things moving.
