Mount Litera Zee School

We are located right off NH 33 at Pardhi Chowk here in Jamshedpur. Most days it’s pretty busy with trucks and cars passing by outside, but once you get inside the gate, things quiet down a bit. Our building in Dhatkidih has been part of the neighborhood for a while now. If you walk through the hallways in the morning, you’ll hear teachers trying to get everyone to sit down and the sound of desks dragging across the floor. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast while the kids finish up their work. There’s a bit of a playground where they run around during break, and you can usually see some dust kicking up when the wind blows from the highway. We’ve got local staff who have been living around Jamshedpur their whole lives. We don’t have fancy carpets or anything, just plain classrooms and whiteboards that sometimes don't erase perfectly. It’s a normal school day here, with bells ringing every forty minutes and the smell of lunch boxes opening around noon. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just open the windows and keep going. Parents drop their kids off at the gate and chat for a minute before heading to work. It’s just how things go here at Mount Litera Zee School. We keep the place clean as much as we can, though kids always find a way to leave a smudge or two on the walls.
