Gurunanak High School

The school is right there in the Gurudwara Complex in Sakchi. If you live in Jamshedpur, you've probably passed by us a hundred times while doing your shopping or running errands. Gurunanak High School has been part of this community for ages. The building has that old feeling to it, with thick walls and high ceilings that stay a bit cooler in the summer heat. It gets really busy around the complex, especially in the mornings when parents are dropping off their kids. We have teachers who have been here so long they remember the parents of the current students when they were just little ones themselves. It’s a bit of a maze inside with the different corridors and rooms tucked away. We don't have any of those modern fancy gadgets in every room, just the usual benches and boards. Sometimes the noise from the street drifts in, but the kids are used to it. We just try to keep things running smoothly. There’s always a lot of paperwork and things to organize, and the staff room is always a bit of a mess with tea cups and half-graded papers. It’s a real place where real stuff happens. We just want the kids to leave here knowing a bit more than when they arrived. 831001 is home, and we’re just doing our bit every day to keep the doors open for the next generation.
