Greenfield School

Our school is located at H No. 5 on A Road, along Anil Surpath in the Kadma area of Jamshedpur. It’s actually a house that we’ve converted into a school space, which gives it a very different feel from the big institutional buildings you see elsewhere. Because we are in a residential part of Kadma, it feels very safe and quiet for the kids. We have a small yard where they can play, and the rooms are sized more like living spaces than cold classrooms. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighbors are all used to the sound of children playing during the day. It’s a very local operation. Most of our staff live nearby and we all know the families of the students personally. We don't use any big corporate strategies or complicated systems. We just teach the basics and make sure everyone is looked after. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble or we need to repaint a wall because of all the handprints, but that’s just part of running a school in a real building. We like the fact that it’s small. It means we can keep an eye on everything and nobody gets lost in the crowd. It’s just a simple, honest school where we do our best with what we’ve got in a nice Jamshedpur neighborhood. We focus on the daily stuff like lessons and lunch breaks, and that seems to work for everyone who comes here.
