Sharma Deepak Architect

My office is at number 38 in New G.T.B. Nagar. It is situated right at the backside of Ravindra Day Boarding School. Being so close to the school, the day usually follows the sound of the bells and the kids heading home in the afternoon. I am Deepak Sharma, and I have been doing architectural work from this spot for quite a while now. The office is small and filled with papers, old models, and drawing tools that I’ve had for years. It is a simple setup because I prefer to focus on the drafting table rather than having a polished showroom. Most of my clients are people from the neighborhood or families who are looking to add a room or fix up an old property. We sit down, look at the land, and I start sketching out what could work for them. I don't use a lot of complicated words when explaining things. We just talk about where the windows should go and how to make the best use of the space they have. New G.T.B. Nagar is a good area to work in, and being tucked away behind the school makes it quiet enough to actually get some thinking done during the morning hours. I handle most of the site visits myself, jumping on my bike to go see how the foundation is looking or if the walls are going up straight. It’s a one-man show mostly, and that’s how I’ve always liked to keep things.
