Star Marble Moorties

Located at 1281, 2nd Cross, on Khazanewalon Ka Rasta in the Chandpole Market, our shop is usually buzzing. Being in this part of the city means there’s never a quiet moment. Star Marble Moorties is mostly filled with big slabs of marble and the tools we use for shaping them. White dust gets on everything, but after all these years, it's just what we expect. Our location is easy to miss if you aren't looking, right there in the 2nd Cross where it gets quite crowded. Weekends are particularly busy with all the foot traffic. This isn't a high-tech operation with polished floors or brochures. It’s a real working space with heavy stone and steady hands. Most of the day is spent on different pieces, some small enough to carry and others that take several of us to move. We enjoy being right in the center of Chandpole Market. It feels like we are part of the city's heart. When evening comes, we sweep up a bit of the mess and close the doors, knowing we will be back to do it again tomorrow. There is always more marble to work on and more noise from the street to listen to. It is just a regular way to make a living, and it suits us fine here on the Rasta. We just take the work as it comes and try to stay productive.
