Our shop Agrawal Arts is right here in Chandpole, just across from Batwara Bhawan. If you know this part of Jaipur, you know how busy it gets every single day. We are located at No. 1120 on Mishrarajaji Ka Rasta, right near the first crossing. It’s a narrow street but we’ve made it our home for a long time. People come by for all sorts of things. Sometimes the place is a bit of a mess with materials everywhere, but that’s just how we work. My father started things here and now we just keep it going as best as we can. We do a lot of hand work ourselves. It’s not a fancy office or anything like you see in the movies. Most days you’ll find us sitting on the floor or at the small desks just getting through the orders. It’s noisy outside with the traffic and the markets, but inside we just focus on what’s in front of us. We don’t really do much advertising. Most people find us because they’ve lived in the neighborhood for years or their uncle told them about us. We try to be fair with everyone. Sometimes the power goes out or a delivery is late because the truck can't get through the street, but we manage. It’s a simple life here. We open early when the tea stalls are starting and stay until the shutters go down late. It’s just what we do.
