Jaipur Moorti Palace

Jaipur Moorti Palace is found at 2493, B-116 on Khajane Walon Ka Rasta. We are right at the 4th Cross in the Chandpole Bazar area. It is a very old part of the city and the lanes are quite tight. We have been working out of this spot for many years now. The building is old but it has a lot of character and history for us. Inside you will find pieces of stone and various tools scattered around. There is always a layer of dust on everything but that is just part of the job. We don't spend much time cleaning up until the end of the week. Most of us who work here have been doing this since we were young. We learned from the older folks in the neighborhood. Chandpole Bazar is always humming with noise from the market and the people walking past. It can get a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. We mostly focus on our carving and try not to get distracted. Our workshop isn't a place for showing off. It’s a place for hard work. We use simple tools and a lot of patience to get the shapes right. Sometimes we share a pot of tea and talk about things other than work. It is a nice way to spend the day. We are just a local shop trying to do things the way they have always been done.
