We set up shop at Plot No. 11/8, right across from Veer Chatrasal Park on Govind Marg in Raja Park. It’s a nice enough spot because of the park, so we get a bit of green to look at instead of just buildings. Raja Park is always moving, and there is a lot of shopping activity around here. We handle various handicrafts, mostly things made by local people around the region. Our shop is often a bit messy with boxes and bubble wrap everywhere because we are always receiving new things or getting stuff ready to be taken away. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who do everything from sweeping the floor to talking to the people who walk in. The street outside can get quite loud with cars honking, especially on the weekends when people are out shopping. We have been in this location for some time now and have seen the neighborhood change a bit. We try to keep the front of the shop looking decent, but it’s hard when you have so much stock coming in and out every day. Some days it’s just us sitting and waiting for a customer, and other days we don’t even have time to eat lunch until very late. It’s a basic business, nothing too fancy, just selling things that people have made with their hands. We usually lock up around eight and head home to rest.
