We are based at Office No-B/8 in Silk Colony, which is over in Jhotwara. It is a bit of a tucked-away spot, but it’s where we keep all the handicraft items we deal with. The office is often full of the smell of wood and fabric because of everything stored here. We aren't really set up for visitors to walk in and look around like a gallery. It’s more of a place where we manage the inventory and handle the orders. Jhotwara can be a bit of a commute depending on where you're coming from, but Silk Colony is a decent enough area to work in. Most days are spent checking the quality of the pieces coming in from the makers. We look for any cracks or loose threads and make sure everything is sorted correctly. The shelves are packed pretty tight, and sometimes it feels like we are running out of room. We have an old desk where we do all the billing and writing. It’s a humble setup, nothing flashy at all. The light in the office isn't the best, so we have a few extra lamps around the workspace. We take our lunch breaks together and usually just talk about the work or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s a steady kind of life, working with things that people have made by hand. We spend a lot of time wrapping pieces in paper to keep them safe. It is just what needs to be done.
