You can find us at S.No. 600 in Surya Nagar. We are located right near the Trivani Public Senior Secondary School. Often, you can hear the kids playing or the school bells while we work. We do two main things here, making moortis and doing painting work. The workshop is usually a mess of colors and stone dust. We have brushes soaking in jars and half-finished statues lined up against the walls. It’s not a showroom where everything is sparkling clean. It’s a place where work actually happens. Some days we focus only on the carving part, which is noisy. Other days are quiet because we are just doing the fine painting details. The light in this part of Surya Nagar is pretty good in the mornings for seeing the colors correctly. We’ve been here for a good while, and most of the locals know where we are. We don't really do much advertising. People just see our work at the school or in neighbors' houses and come find us. It’s a steady life. Sometimes we run out of a certain pigment and have to wait for more to come in. We just take things one day at a time. If a painting isn't looking right, we just go over it until it does. It’s not about being perfect, just about making it look like it should. We like the way the paint dries in the natural air here.
