Roxy Gems Jewellers

If you walk down Ramganj Bazar, you will find us right across from the Small Rehmani Masjid. Our shop, Roxy Gems Jewellers, has been sitting at No 256 for a long time. It is a small space, but we have managed to fit everything we need inside. Most days, you’ll find us sitting behind the counter, looking over stones or chatting with people who stop by. The street outside is always noisy with motorcycles and people walking to the masjid, but inside it stays relatively calm. We deal with all sorts of gems and jewelry pieces, nothing too over the top, just what people in the neighborhood usually look for. Sometimes a customer comes in with a broken chain that needs fixing, or they want to see if we have a specific stone for a ring they are making. We don't have big flashy displays like the malls do. It's more about the drawers and small boxes where we keep the real stuff. The lighting in here is okay, though we often have to use a magnifying glass to really see the details of a piece properly. We have got a lot of stories from the years spent here. People come in to celebrate weddings or sometimes they are just selling something they don't wear anymore. It is just how the business goes. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person to walk through the door.
