Johari Bazar is always loud. You can hear the scooters honking from the first floor of H. N. 615 where we sit. Finding us isn't too hard if you look for the Axis Bank ATM near Uncha Kuwa. We’ve been here in Haldiyo Ka Rasta for a while now. The stairs up to our place are a bit steep, so mind your step when you come. Most days, we just spend our time looking at stones and sorting through exports. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when the market is packed with people. We keep the windows open but it doesn't help much with the noise. The tea guy comes around twice a day and that’s usually the highlight of our morning. My uncle used to work around here too, so we know most of the shopkeepers on this street. It’s a tight space with a lot of boxes, but it works for us. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait, talking about the day. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just some tables, a few chairs, and a lot of work to get through before the sun goes down. People come and go, asking for directions or just dropping off packages. It is just the way things go in a place like Jaipur. We stay busy enough and the location is good for getting things moved out quickly.
