Royal Gems is tucked away in the basement at B-4, inside Mulla Cottage. We are right in the middle of Chameliwala Market, which is a very crowded and busy place to be. Being in the basement means we don't get much natural light, so we have plenty of lamps to see what we are doing with the stones. It’s a small shop, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into it. The market outside is full of people looking for jewelry and fabrics, so there is always a lot of noise filtering down to us. We spend our hours looking at small gems and sorting them out for different projects. It’s quiet work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes customers come down the stairs looking for something specific, and we spend time showing them what we have in the drawers. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass cases everywhere, just a practical workspace where we do our job. Mulla Cottage is an old building, and it has its own character, just like the rest of the market. We have been here for a while now and we know the other traders nearby. It’s a tight-knit community in Chameliwala Market. We don't do much in the way of big promotions; people usually find us because someone told them where we were. We just keep our heads down and focus on the gems, making sure we stay busy throughout the day in our little basement spot.
