Our place is over at Plot No. 366 in Sai Enclave. If you know the Jhotwara area, we are quite close to the Anesh Vihar Extension. Rameshwram Moorti Art isn't some big corporation with a lot of managers. It's just a few of us who really like working with stone. We’ve got a lot of tools lying around and there is always someone carving something in the back. It gets pretty loud sometimes because of the grinding machines. The neighborhood is usually busy, so we fit right in. We spend a lot of time just looking at a piece of marble before we even start. You have to see where the cracks might be. It’s not a fast job. Sometimes a single piece takes weeks. We don't really have a website or anything fancy, people just usually find us by word of mouth or by walking past the plot. We’ve lived around here for a while so we know most of the faces. It's nice to work where you live. The air is always a bit dusty, which is probably not great, but you get used to it. We keep ourselves busy. There's always another block of stone waiting. We just take it day by day and try to make sure the details look okay. It’s honest work and it keeps us out of trouble mostly. It’s hard work, but we like it.
