Pinkcity Nagra Shoes & Handicrafts

Our shop is number 17, right near the Hawa Mahal. If you know the area, we are just opposite the Jalebe Choke Gate. It is a very busy part of town with tourists and locals always walking by. Pinkcity Nagra Shoes & Handicrafts is a small place but we pack it full of things. We have a lot of the traditional nagra shoes hanging up and sitting on shelves. You can smell the leather as soon as you step inside. It is a bit cramped because we have so much stuff, but that’s just how it is in these old market shops. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout to hear each other. We spend most of the day talking to people and showing them the different designs. The handicrafts are tucked in the corners too. It’s mostly just us sitting here and waiting for customers. When it rains, we have to move everything back from the door so it doesn’t get wet. Being so close to the gate means there is always something happening outside. We see the pink walls of the old city every morning when we open up. It is a good spot for a shop like ours. We don’t have any fancy displays, just the shoes and the crafts stacked up high for anyone who wants them.
