We are located in Bhindo Ka Rasta, specifically at the 2nd Chaura Dharmsala. It’s a busy part of the city, and the lanes can be a bit narrow, so you have to be careful when you're walking. Narshing Moorti is a place where we spend our days working with stone and marble. It’s very dusty work. By the time we go home, our clothes and hair are usually white from the stone dust. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the building itself has a lot of history. We don’t have fancy machines that do all the work; it’s mostly just us with our tools, chipping away at the blocks until they look like something. It’s loud because of all the tapping and carving, so we don't talk much while we're actually working. We take our breaks together and sit on the steps to have some water or tea. Sometimes people stop by just to watch us work for a few minutes. We don't have a fancy showroom. Everything we make is just sitting there on the floor or on wooden blocks. It’s a tough job on the hands and back, but we’re used to it by now. The neighborhood is full of other craftsmen, so there’s a good sense of community around here. We just focus on the task at hand and try to do a decent job.
