Kuber Marble Moorti Art is situated on the main road over in Indira Bazar, right near the New Grain Mandi. If you know the area, you know it’s always busy with trucks and people moving goods around. Our shop is right in the middle of that hustle. We work with marble, turning big slabs and blocks into statues and different decorative items. It is a messy job, and the floors are always covered in stone shavings. We don't wear suits or anything like that; we’re usually in old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. The tools we use are pretty basic, mostly just what we’ve used for years. Sometimes the machines are loud, and we have to shout to hear each other over the noise. We’ve got a lot of finished pieces sitting around Indira Bazar waiting for people to take them home. Some of the statues are quite heavy, so moving them around the shop is a real workout. We don't have a big corporate office or a website team. It’s just us working with our hands every day. When the grain market is in full swing, the whole street gets blocked up, but we just keep working through it. It’s a good spot to be, right in the heart of the trade. We’ve been here long enough that most of the other shopkeepers are like family to us now. It's a loud, dusty, and honest way to live.
