Pushpa Gems

Our little shop is tucked away in CK House, right behind Bichoun Market in Kishanpol Bazar. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with all the shoppers and rickshaws. We deal in gems and stones. It’s a small space, F-108, but we make it work. Most of the day is spent looking at small pieces under the light or talking to people who come in from the market looking for something specific. We aren't doing anything flashy here. Usually, it's just us sitting with the trays, sorting out what came in that morning. Some days are quieter than others, especially when the weather is bad and nobody wants to walk through the bazaar. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t need a big sign outside. People usually find us by asking around or because they’ve been coming here for a long time. The lighting in the shop isn't the best, but we have our desk lamps for the close work. It's a lot of sitting and looking at tiny details. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break. It's a simple life in a very busy part of town. We keep the gems in small packets and try to keep the desk clear, though it always ends up messy by lunch. It’s just how the day goes when you're working with such small items in a cramped market space.
