Haya Gems

Haya Gems is situated at No. 35- A, just behind the Golimar Garden on Amer Road. It is a decent spot, away from the main noise of the traffic but still close enough for people to find. We spend most of our hours looking at small things through magnifying glasses. The light has to be just right to see what is going on inside a stone. Amer Road is always busy with tourists and buses going towards the fort, but back here behind the garden, it is a little calmer. Our shop is simple. We have some display cases and a place to sit and work. There is always a bit of dust from the polishing or just from the road outside. We don't do much in the way of big advertising. Most people who come here heard about us from someone else. It is a slow process, sorting through stones and deciding which ones are worth keeping. We have different types of gems coming in and we have to be careful with every single one. Sometimes a customer wants to sit and talk for an hour before they decide on anything. We don't mind that. It is part of how we do things here. The garden nearby is a good landmark for people who get lost trying to find our number. It is just us working with what we have and keeping the shop open.
