We've been at 2635 Khajane Walo Ka Rasta for quite a while now. It's right at the fourth crossing in Chandpole Bazar. People usually find us when they are walking through the market looking for stone work. We mostly spend our days carving and chipping away at marble. It's dusty work, honestly. My father started this, and now we just keep it going. Some days the shop is crowded, other days it's just us and the tools. We make all sorts of figures, big and small. If you come by the Ivth Crossing, you'll see the white dust on the floor. That's how you know you're at the right place. We don't really have a fancy showroom or anything, just the workshop where the work happens. It gets hot in the summer, but the stone stays cool. We just focus on getting the details right on the faces. Sometimes it takes weeks for one piece. It's just what we do here in Jaipur. Usually, someone is always around if you want to look at what's finished. We don't do much advertising, mostly just people telling their neighbors about us. It's a busy street, so there's always noise outside while we work. We've got different types of stone sitting in the back waiting to be used. It's a simple setup, nothing special, just a local shop in the bazaar doing what we know. We close up when the market gets quiet and the street lights come on.
