Dixit Marble Moorti Bhandar

Dixit Marble Moorti Bhandar is located at Plot No. 2005 inside Dixit Bhawan. We are right on Khejron Ka Rasta, near the Tisra Chouraha in Chandpole Bazar. This building has been part of the family for a long time, and you can tell by looking at the old stone walls. Being at the third crossing means there is never a moment of peace outside. There’s always someone shouting or a scooter honking its horn. Inside, though, we are mostly focused on the marble. We have statues in different stages of being finished—some are just rough blocks and others are almost done. The white marble dust gets into everything, even the tea we drink. We don't have any fancy marketing people or a polished business plan. We just show up, pick up the tools, and start working on the marble. The space is crowded with finished pieces, so you have to be careful where you step. It’s a bit dark inside the old bhawan, but we have some bright lamps over the work areas. People come from all over to this part of Chandpole Bazar, and they usually find us by asking for the Dixit family. We just keep the tradition going as best as we can, working day by day in the same spot where our fathers worked. It’s just how things are done here.
